The
death of a relative or friend is always a difficult time for
any family or individual to cope with. There seems to be so
many arrangements to be made at short notice.
Five o’clock in the evening is the usual time for the
remains to arrive at the Church. The Funeral Mass is usually
at 10.00 am the next morning.
The priests of the parish will be available to help. If family
members would like to do the readings at Mass, the priests
will assist them is selecting the readings. They may also like
to say the Prayers of the Faithful and bring up the gifts for
the Offertory.
The Funeral Undertakers are also very helpful. They can facilitate
the family by recommending someone for the music and singing
is if it is desired.
