O God, You have created me
to do some definite service;
You have given some definite work to me
Which You have not given to any other.
I have a place in Your plan.
I may never know what it is in this life
But I shall be told it in the next.
Therefore I will trust You in all things.
If I am sick, my sickness will serve You.
If I am worried, my worry will serve You.
If I am in sorrow, my sorrow will serve You.
Nothing is in vain:
All things serve Your purpose.
I may lose my friends and find myself among strangers;
I may feel forgotten so that my spirits sink;
my future may be hidden from me;
still, You work in all things for good,
and I trust You.
